First Impressions: Fall Anime 2013

BlazBlue: Alter Memory
Okay, Blazblue is one of the few fighting games I enjoy but what the hell is this crap? Honestly I never paid attention to the game’s plot because let’s face it, who the hell plays fighting games for story? Here, I have absolutely no idea what’s going on and there’s hardly any character introduction. I guess the only good thing so far is they kept all the original voice actors and the OP/ED songs are above average but I could care less of that at this point. Get your ball rolling BlazBlue. 😦

Gundam Build Fighters
I was cautiously optimistic with this one but the first ep turned out to be really enjoyable! The mini Mquv’e and Ramba Ral cameos nearly threw me off the chair. What’s interesting here is our main hero, Iori, is an excellent gunpla builder but he sucks in the virtual gaming. This is where our 2ndary main character comes in, Reiji, who’s a bit of a foreign stereotype and alien enough to not know soda drinks. It’s mysterious of him to suddenly vanish whenever he’s off screen for a few seconds but he serves as an excellent pilot for Iori’s custom built models. As for the mecha, Build Strike is a pretty cool design. This show is so gonna be mobile suit porn in every sense of the word. I have to admit, I’ve thrown away my gunpla hobby about a year ago because, well, reasons… but this is slowly trying to bring back that hobby outta the closet. Anyways, this is the Gundam show I always wanted since X, light-hearted fun. 🙂

Hajime no Ippo: Rising
First half, good stuff. 2nd half, felt rushed. Oh well, Ippo is one of the few sports anime I enjoy watching so at least it’s back. 😐

IS: Infinite Stratos 2
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh….. a continuation typical harem with dumb lead. Only reason I’m watching it is because I saw the first show for the lulz. Not even gonna pay attention to the so-called plot. I can already see the ending. 😦

Valvrave the Liberator 2nd Season
More of terra-bad entertaining mecha and yet I watch it for the guilty pleasure. So, I’m confused on the vampire bites, in the beginning of this first ep, body swapping is still there but later in the end Haruto bites that dude for energy… actually you know what? Who cares? 😐

Kill la Kill
If Gurren Lagann wasn’t hyper weird enough, wait til you see this. 🙂

Little Busters!: Refrain
This show wastes no time getting the ball rolling. Anego demonstrates how awesome she is if she wasn’t already. All I hope is that it doesn’t use cheap emotional manipulation to get the audiences bawling. 🙂
