music review: LUNA SEA – Thoughts

The title song offers us a mainstream sound with Sugizo driving the intro doing angry riffs here and there. The chorus is so generic that it’s hideous to the ears even on the band’s standards. The most noteworthy part of this song overall is the guitar solo. If you like L’arc or Uverworld style music, this is for you.

Lost World however makes up for what the title song lacks, the Luna Sea-esque sound from the old days. It reminds me of LUV U and In Silence. BUT WHY END THE SONG WITH A SUDDEN FADEOUT? At least Inoran’s clean guitar memorable arpeggio makes its return here.
