anime review: Fate / Zero

Season one was above average. Season two was much better but still kinda suffers. The director truly knows how to make episodes boring whenever there’s no action scenes. Most of the character interactions aren’t interesting except for Rider and Waver. As for Kiritsugu, he’s a mixed bag. I had a hard time rooting for him mainly because it’s predictable what was gonna happen and I just didn’t care. I did enjoy the final fight between the 2 baddies in the 2nd last ep. Saber displayed as more of a prop than a character since her existence hardly adds any importance to the plot. Now that they’re following the actual myths of King Arthur, is Saber a lesbo? What I did find interesting is how Kiritsugu and Saber never got along and yet they’re very much alike. Both their ideals are shattered and in despair. So now that Fate/Zero is over, I wonder what’s next on the line. It would be nice if they come out with Fate Prototype cuz I much prefer Saber as a male and having a female protagonist.

Overall rating: 7/10
