model review: RG Freedom

  • Amazing details for its size
  • MG articulations.. actually slighter better
  • Looks good enough it doesn’t need linings/stickers/decals/coloring
  • Extra manipulators
  • Packaging design

  • Some pieces pointlessly separated that could’ve been a single piece out of the plate
  • 11 parts for the head, half of them so tiny
  • Very loose bottom wings
  • Not good enough to replace MG Freedom
  • Those wings are just a big obstacle
  • Still can’t perform full burst mode with ease
  • Not worth $37

As much as I like Freedom’s design, it can’t translate well as a model. Those wings are my biggest annoyance whenever I pose the thing. You own the MG ver, I don’t recommend this kit unless you got the spare cash and a Freedom lover, then by all means…

Overall Rating: 5/10
