music review: Gundam Unicorn OST

Excuse me but, holy shit! This is the best Gundam, no, best anime OST I’ve heard in a long time ever since Fafner which was, 5 or 6 years ago(?). I don’t know but nearly every track in this OST gives you eargasms. When watching the first episode, I already knew the music was good based on the tracks they played but to say it’s epic is an understatement. There’s a lot of battle music that are pretty intense and so haunting. Couple tracks have their soft tender moments and one vocal track. If Unicorn didn’t have this awesome music on the show, then my opinion for show would have been altered. I don’t have much else to comment other than if you haven’t listened to this soundtrack, go do so now. You’re seriously missing out.

The tracks in italics are my favorites.

Having the right sound is half the effectiveness of animation. Having bad music/sound takes away from the best of animation.
I’m very glad these guys took that into account, and made an incredible soundtrack, but also one that fit very nicely with the animation timing and style.
It really made Unicorn that much more impressive to watch.

If this isn’t pure awesomeness, I don’t know what is. Sure, most Gundam series soundtracks have intense battle musics, but the 2nd track, Unicorn, brings it up a notch. It has that intense powerful feeling I can’t really describe. All I know is I choke up the first time I listen to it. Now that’s epic!

Hi, do you know what track is used for the title screen? It’s sound like “Zero Gravity”, but I think it’s faster. Thx.
